New Year, New Start... New Life??

Hi guys, I really wanted to update you all on what has been going on in the background here at Whirlsie's Designs.

As most of you are aware, things have died off a little as I have been dealing with some personal issues, and I have never been one to hide the truth on any of my blogs, and this is no different.

You see, my relationship with MrWhirlsie has come to an end, and I am now figuring out single life again. Without going into too much detail, the relationship has been on the rocks for the last few months and on Saturday we called it quits.

This means so many huge changes in my life, not least of which is finding a new home, no longer being a 'mother', and looking for a full-time job... and the mental exhaustion following all of these as well as the heartbreak.

As many of you who are on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram may be aware I am currently in Bendigo, having a small holiday and break while I sort out my new life. I will be heading back to Canberra in just over a week, to kick off this new life, but in the meantime I wanted to let you all know where I have been.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank you for your love, kindness and support over the last few months with your comments on my posts, private messages on Ravelry and lovely emails. You have been amazing and you have made my day on more than one occasion.

My latest pattern Katerina was named after one of my close friends who has been my rock during these hard times, and I would not only like to thank Katerina, but also my dear friends Carrie, Lynaire, Arcadia and Kai - without them I don't know where I would be today.

While it may be a little while between new patterns, I am hoping to continue designing, so any time I do have something new for you I will be sharing it, in the meantime I am hoping to keep the Needles & Bobbins posts regular with what I will be knitting... because there is just no stopping that!! In fact, I am currently working on a new design that you may just see in the next Needles & Bobbins post!
