Patterns, KAL & a Baby!

WOAH!! This week has been such a busy week! As well as the typical 'going back to school' chaos, I have had such a fun (and sometime stressful) week. This week I released all three Taliesin patterns, as well as the ebook. I am happy to say that they have been met with a lot of enthusiasm which means so much to me. There is nothing I love more as a designer than hearing that people are looking forward to my designs and that they love them (or a particular feature).

The Taliesin Knit-A-Long (KAL) has started off with a bang!! So far there are already people casting on their chosen Taliesin pattern and uploading photos! You can see some of the current projects and photos here. There should be a few more listed over the coming days. If you haven't added yours yet, make sure you tag your project with #talkal. I was having so much fun reading and replying to posts that I couldn't help myself... I have cast on another Mini Taliesin!!

Finally, in the last bit of happy news in the Whirlsie World, one of my closest and dearest friends gave birth to the most beautiful little boy, Tobias. Carrie and I have been friends for many years after meeting at a local Stitch n' Bitch. When I first created the Mini Taliesin, Carrie loved it so much she bugged me for the pattern before it had even been written! So, Carrie was my pre-tester and this was when the pattern was still written as a bottom-up!! Her wonderful project became Tobias' coming home outfit! A wonderful honour as a designer!
